Upon your arrival at Bhopal Airport/Railway Station or Pipariya Railway Station, our representative will warmly welcome you. From there, embark on a scenic drive up the winding roads of the Satpura Range towards Pachmarhi (approx. 1.5 hours from Pipariya or 4-5 hours from Bhopal). As you ascend, feel the temperature drop and take in the lush green surroundings. Upon reaching Pachmarhi, check into your hotel and relax. Spend your evening taking a leisurely stroll through the local cantonment market or simply enjoying the tranquil mountain air. Overnight stay in Pachmarhi.
After a hearty breakfast, head out for your first day of Pachmarhi sightseeing. Begin with a visit to the mystical Jata Shankar Caves, a natural shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva hidden deep within a rocky ravine. Next, prepare for breathtaking views at Handi Khoh, a dramatic 300-foot-deep V-shaped gorge covered in dense forest. Continue to Priyadarshini Point (Forsyth Point) to view the sprawling Satpura ranges. After a lunch break, hike down to the famous Bee Fall, a spectacular cascading waterfall where you can enjoy the cool waters. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Following breakfast, delve into the rich mythology and geology of the region. Visit the iconic Pandav Caves, the five ancient rock-cut temples set atop a small hill, believed to have sheltered the Pandavas during their exile. Later, explore Reechgarh, a fascinating natural rock cavern that resembles an amphitheater. In the late afternoon, embark on an exhilarating 4×4 open Gypsy ride through the rugged forest terrain to reach Dhoopgarh. As the highest peak in the Satpura Range, Dhoopgarh offers an unparalleled, panoramic view of the majestic mountains and one of the most spectacular sunsets in Central India. Overnight stay in Pachmarhi.
Wake up to the peaceful sounds of the forest and enjoy your final breakfast in the hills. After checking out from your hotel, you may have some time for last-minute local souvenir shopping, picking up famous Pachmarhi honey or herbal Ayurvedic products. Afterward, our driver will transfer you back down the hills to Pipariya Railway Station or Bhopal Airport/Railway Station for your onward journey, bringing your rejuvenating nature retreat to a close.
To protect the fragile ecosystem of the Satpura Tiger Reserve, outside private vehicles and standard taxis are not permitted to enter the inner forest zones (such as Dhoopgarh, Bee Fall, and Reechgarh). Visitors must hire a registered, local open-top 4×4 Gypsy from the local union. This is not included in the standard package and must be paid directly on-site.
Because Pachmarhi is a hill station, the evenings and early mornings can be quite chilly, even in the summer, so packing a light jacket, sweater, or shawl is essential. Additionally, you will be doing a lot of walking, climbing steps (at Pandav Caves and Jata Shankar), and hiking down to waterfalls. Sturdy, comfortable walking shoes or trekking sandals are a must.
While the scenic drives, Dhoopgarh sunset, and viewpoints like Handi Khoh are easily accessible, visiting the actual caves (Jata Shankar) and waterfalls (Bee Fall) involves descending and ascending steep, uneven rocky steps. If anyone in your group has severe mobility issues, please let us know so we can suggest a modified, more relaxed sightseeing route.
