No, the Taj Mahal is closed every Friday for general viewing. We meticulously plan your itinerary to ensure your visit to Agra falls on a day when the monument is open. If you are customizing your dates, please keep this closure in mind.
The best time to experience the Golden Triangle is during the cooler winter months from October to March, when the weather is highly pleasant for exploring forts and monuments. April to June can be extremely hot, especially in Agra and Jaipur, while July to September brings the monsoon rains.
While India is quite diverse, it is highly recommended to dress modestly when visiting historical and religious sites. For places like the Jama Masjid in Delhi or the Taj Mahal, both men and women should wear clothing that covers their shoulders and knees. Comfortable walking shoes are a must, as you will be doing a lot of walking inside the massive forts and palace complexes!
