FAQ

What should I pack for the White Desert?

While the days in Kutch are generally sunny and pleasant, temperatures in the open salt desert drop significantly at night and early morning. We recommend packing a mix of comfortable, breathable cotton clothing for daytime sightseeing, and warm layers (sweaters, light jackets, or shawls) for sunrise and sunset visits to the White Rann. Sunscreen, sunglasses, and comfortable walking shoes are also a must.

Is this tour suitable for senior citizens and is it wheelchair accessible?

Yes, the Rann Utsav is very senior-citizen friendly. The Tent City is spread over a large area, but they provide internal golf carts to ferry guests between tents, dining halls, and reception. While walking on the actual salt flats can be slightly uneven, wheelchair assistance is generally available upon prior request.

Can I fly a drone at the White Rann for photography?

No, flying drones is strictly prohibited at the Great Rann of Kutch and Kalo Dungar due to their close proximity to the highly secured India-Pakistan international border. However, standard DSLR cameras and mobile phones are perfectly fine for capturing the stunning desert landscapes.

What is cancellation policy?

Cancellations made 30 days or more before the departure date are eligible for a full refund minus nominal processing charges. Cancellations made between 15 to 29 days prior incur a 50% cancellation fee. Due to the high demand during the Rann Utsav festival season, cancellations within 14 days of departure are strictly non-refundable.
