Jim Corbett National Park and Nainital, located in the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand, together form one of Northern India’s most iconic combinations of wildlife adventure and tranquil hill-station retreats. Established in 1936 as India’s first national park, Jim Corbett is renowned for its dense sal forests, the meandering Ramganga River, and its population of Royal Bengal Tigers, Asiatic elephants, and hundreds of bird species. The park offers thrilling open-jeep safaris across prominent eco-zones like Dhikala, Bijrani, and Jhirna, making it a prime sanctuary for nature lovers and wildlife enthusiasts.

In contrast, just a scenic mountain drive away at an altitude of around 2,000 meters, Nainital is centered around the emerald, crescent-shaped Naini Lake. Flanked by steep green hills and colonial-era architecture, the town invites visitors to enjoy calm boat rides, explore the revered Naina Devi Temple, and stroll along the vibrant Mall Road. Together, the circuit seamlessly blends the adrenaline of wilderness tracking in Corbett’s raw jungle lowlands with the cool, misty relaxation, scenic viewpoints, and lake walks of Nainital.
